I'm not sure why it wouldn't add that cookie back on your next visit then.

Ok, suddenly in the past few days Bing has become my home page on Firefox. I checked and the WNFF is still listed to be my home page. How to correct it?

Here is a really cool tool that shows how flash can be a great tool for the web:
http://www.sumopaint.com/home/

Sumo Paint is sort of like photoshop, but it runs from your browser using flash.  Flash could be a great thing if Adobe would make the code less bloated and resource intensive.

I use One Number. It's a Chrome extension that shows GMail, Google Voice, Reader, and Google Wave all at once.

Nope. Wait, yes I did, but I removed it the next day. I also installed the Shoutcastr toolbar, and am still using it. But it uses Winamp ("enhanced by Google") for its search engine.

try to remember what toolbar it was that you installed/removed. toolbars like to use adware to change crap against your will, and the changes persist even after you uninstall the toolbar.

what browser are you using?

I refuse, but since there are no ads on the page anyway, my conscience is clear.  He does have a donation link if you feel that strongly about it though ;)

 @ your "if you don't like Willie Harris..." comment.  That line gets me every time.

There are ads under his bio.

Not sure what you're referring to, but no there aren't.  Unless you mean Google friend connect?

Oops, just realized why.  In addition to using adblock plus, I also have a rather large list of sites blocked in my hosts file.  That would explain why I didn't see anything in Chrome either.

Wipe egg from face, move on.  Sentiment remains unchanged, however.  Moving this out of thread to retain focus.

Pretty neat.  I don't personally use online storage all that often, but 25 gigs is nothing to sneeze at.

Some of these services are really good, and some of it is bare-bones, a feeble effort to catch up with rival products from Google, Apple and others.

But there are some gems in there. I’m particularly fond of the SkyDrive.

It’s a free, 25-gigabyte virtual hard drive on the Internet, accessible from any computer. It’s a perfect intermediate parking place for files you want to shuttle from one computer to another. You can also use it for offsite backup of your most important files, or as a handy intermediary for sharing big folders with other people far away.

The key point is that you can pull the SkyDrive onto any computer’s screen–Mac, Windows, whatever–at your office, at your home, at your friend’s house, so you don’t need to carry around a physical disk to transport files.

I've had a skydrive for months and plum forgot to use it  The Facebook-y features of live.com are actually really nice - like the photo sharing.

Video chat. What do you think is best? I've been trying everything trying to find the best fit for random U.S. and Brazil video chats. So far Skype seems to work the best, Logitech Vid has a little better video but no chat to go with it, Live Messenger seems to be the worst but might be because it so incredibly popular in Brazil.

I still have Google Video chat and Netmeeting to fiddle with...

It's an install-less single-exe HTTP file server

Secure, web based solution for ssh on the kindle/other browsing devices? The people who put Ubuntu on the kindle void their warranties and risk ruining the free 3g for all of us.
