Bad penalty by Chimera. Only 1 penalty drawn by Caps tonight and that was when Blues were 5-on-3. No PPs. No offense tonight.

Man that's disappointing. I guess it will take time but to get beat pretty handidly at home showing very little offense is disheartening.

oh well. not the worst game. couldnt get anything going offensively. semin played well. ovie had his moments to make you think he isnt fat and slow.  gave a up a good amount of shots but mostly from the outside. decent defensive effort. no odd man rushes against that i can recall. quality opponent. if this was last week, we'd have lost 6-0. its a start. something to build on

Yep, it's going to take some time. I think this team has developed some bad habits that won't disappear overnight. I didn't watch the game, but listened on the radio. I can't really get a good read unless I'm watching the game. How did the defense look?

trouble getting out of the zone. lots of shots attempted by the blues from the outside. lots of shots blocked. didnt leave anybody wide open

i think their only bad habit is not playing hard. once they get over that they'll be fine. i dont think it will take long.

I think that was Wideman's worst game in a long time.  On the other hand, Hendricks threw down quite impressively...I would imagine that Hunter gave him the green light.

Wideman has struggled so far this season. I was really excited to see him for a whole season in a Caps uniform, but he hasn't performed that well thus far. The guy has a ton of talent, so I think he will get it turned around at some point. He played well for us last season before his injury.

The guys on the radio were extremely critical of Semin at one point in the game. He was apparently skating circles in the defensive zone without engaging the puck carrier. That will get fixed under DH or Semin will out of here.

You sure they didn't mean Ovechkin? Cause that's all he's ever done since coming here.

It's a work relationship thing (our auditors).  My boss is from NW Pennsylvania and a big Pens fan.  :?

I think he's been working them all season to get a Pens game here.  We usually only get out once per season with them.

They'll show up to play if Ovy's girlfriend is in the front row of the stands.

The Caps' regular season record against those shmucks is very good.  This would be the time to turn things around.

Thats ok terp!  I came to the store to pick up a HHBO 24/7 Dvd and got a giftbag with a Winter classic program, HBO T SHIRT, and a Knuble bobblehead!  Worth the 1 stop before going home.  At Chipotle now!  Yum!

We probably won't win this, but it looks like we're playing hard and with a little focus. Big step forward.

Dale Hunter won't institute a ton of schematic changes at this point. It'll be more how we play. We're playing with some intensity!

Wow, this team just doesn't look very talented. Can't generate any offense. No coach to blame it on anymore. I'm not throwing in the towel yet but I just don't see much talent on this team. Or the talent that we do have just doesn't work as currently configured.

There are so many disappointments on the roster this season. Very few players I have been impressed by. Troubling.
