he was frustrated at himself so he threw his helmet.  Umps need to freak off and only eject players when they show them up.  umps nowadays are looking to make names for themselves by freaking with the game.

Not really a part of his game.  And I'm okay with that.

My reason for saying all of this is that I can understand why the ump threw out Bryce but I don't think it was the right call. It was a bang-bang play and CB may have thought that Bryce was pissed at the call, rather than himself. I like the passion he brings to the team but one of these days, an ejection like that is going to hurt us in the game when we need him, whether it's him throwing the helmet immediately after a call or breaking a bat.

The umps need to relax on calls like that, though, too. If Bryce was in his face and then slammed the helmet? I understand completely. I don't think Bryce should've been ejected but another ump is going to see that as a hostile action and a BS ejection like that will hurt us.
