Author Topic: Nationals @ Mets, Game 3 (Read 20485 times)

He showed power in that he had a decent SLG%, but it was mostly from doubles/triples. Idk if he really crushed those doubles or if he was just able to stretch a lot of base hits.

He was crushing balls in AA and AAA the last few years, but he was also stretching a lot of hits out. Of course, MLB pitchers are a whole different demon. I'm still not convinced he is a major league starter, but he certainly has had the potential to be a MLB player. I've always loved his defense, he has good speed, and I've mentioned how much better his swing has looked compared to previous years, but still he has to prove he can be more consistent and that he can be a little more patient at the plate. Either way, you have to give it to the kid today.

Now, I can, with out hesitation, I can dismiss any thoughts this team is remotely similar to last years. Awesome win! Last year we get blown out of the building. The Mets have now lost 8 games at home this year, 4 of them are to the Nats. Now, if the Phils could beat up on the Rockies pen while still losing both games, I'd be much obliged. Great way to had out to Denver. When the plane flies over my house tonight, I'll be sure to wave.
