The younger brother of 49ers tight end Vernon Davis and Dolphins cornerback Vontae Davis has been arrested for assault in Washington, D.C. and is a suspect in the murder of a tourist in the city on Tuesday.
The Associated Press reports that 19-year-old Michael Davis was arrested and accused of striking a woman in the head with a hammer. Police are investigating whether he is also responsible for a series of similar attacks, including the killing of a 66-year-old man.
Police say Michael Davis may have been involved in a series of at least four attacks on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, all of which led to serious head injuries for the victims.
I know people who live up on Emerson and I've been worried about them and telling them to stay inside ... or at least carry appropriate deterrent. Then this comes out. What a sad story all around.
