Pa wont ever forgive anyone who doesnt say the word "jewish" with proper reverence.

WTF!?! You are trying to stir up crap today.

He trashed the Nats and the Mets after leaving, called himself essentially a superstar. Foot in Mouth disease indicates a pattern. After he left the Nats, players indicated he should have played with some of the booboos and ouchies he sat out with.

I think his uncle posted on the official board. He was a nice enough guy if I remeber correctly.

I remember this quote:

Quote
Back in 2005, Ryan Church was quoted on the front page of the Washington post, alluding that Jews were doomed to Hell. His exact quote, “”I said, like, Jewish people, they don’t believe in Jesus. Does that mean they’re doomed? Jon nodded, like, that’s what it meant. My ex-girlfriend! I was like, man, if they only knew. Other religions don’t know any better. It’s up to us to spread the word,” Church said

I have nothing against him. He gave me my first big "Nat Moment" at my very first Nat game so he will always have a place in my baseball consciousness.

But at this juncture, I'd have to pass.

I think Church still has some value. I think he'd find his power if he played for the Yankees.

I think I could knock a homer or two out of new Yankees Park.

I mean I did knock a homer out of the park in high school. The distances are most likely similar.

It's a good thing we stuck with Kearns, and dumped Church.

You posted 3-4 racially/religiously charged posts all in a row? You really weren't trying to :stir:

I think every can agree that Kearns 2.0 can go somewhere else though (like the Golden League).

Great digs, PB.

I was not surprised to see Brothbart was the first to break the story on the MLB board.  As most of you know I had at least a meager correspondence with Church for a couple of years while he was here, and he told me, in response to one of Brothbart's more physically challenging posts, that he'd "like to see Brothbart try to (can't remember the exact insult here, something like "kick my ass").  He definitely read the boards and he definitely did not appreciate certain posters.

Lurch and I got off to a rocky start but we ended up on good terms after Church got moved to the Mets.  Wonder how he would respond to my suggestions on the main board that Church should be brought back as either team chaplin or ball boy?

Eric did not even detect the slightest bit of humor in your post.  Like some here, he was evidently born without the humor gene, or else he wanted yet another excuse to trot out the same story quote he's posted 30 times before.

Eric prefers that posters use LOL or a smilely to denote less than sincere posts.  I figure that by posting under the name PowerBoater69 I've pretty much declared any comments to be farce or satire (at least that's my story if ever questioned by the authorities).
