My brother didn't like Godzilla because he thought it was too silly. Now, it is not a perfect movie and there are legit reasons to dislike it, but it's freaking Godzilla. Of course it's gonna be a bit silly. I'm not sure what exactly he expected, but that is about the stupidest reason to dislike it I can think of. Hell, it takes itself totally seriously, so it in fact is not nearly as silly as it could have been. And this dumbass liked Pacific Rim which I'd argue is quite a bit sillier than Godzilla because of the comic relief scientists and Ron Perlman.

Not liking Godzilla because it's silly is like not liking James Bond because... well... yeah.

Saw Godzilla at the IMAX 3D theater today.    That's the only way to see it.    It was not good enough to watch in a regular format.    Tell ya what though.    They got the Godzilla roar down  ...  they must have re-mixed from the original.   It was perfect.

Haven't seen a 3D movie (let alone IMAX) since "The Stewardesses" in 1970.    Before that, it was "Creature from the Black Lagoon".    The missus, who's a bit younger, asked me what the main difference was between the "Black Lagoon" movie and the "Godzilla".     I told her "Godzilla" had better color.   ;)

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is on FX right now.  While the edited version is not nearly as much fun as the uncut release, it's still a great substitute for crappy baseball tonight.

Edge of Tomorrow is quite good. Surprisingly has quite a lot of funny bits in it. The ending is a bit meh, but overall, it's excellent.

"The Immigrant" is a depressing drama, so its appeal might be limited, but it has Marion Cotillard, Joaquin Phoenix, and Jeremy Renner, and the ending is perfect, flawless, one of the very best endings I've ever seen in a movie. Worth the price of admission for sure.

Young Frankenstein is on TV, of course everyone is great, but man Kenneth Mars as Inspector Kemp cracks me up.

Guardians of the Galaxy was fun. Chris Pratt was awesome and Bradley Cooper was fantastic voicing Rocket.

Howard the Duck makes an appearance in the post-credits scene.

Good. Howard the Duck is from one of those movies that's so bad, it's not good, it's just worse.

Although it does have the principal from Ferris Bueller uttering the great line: "The transformation is complete! I am now......someone else!"

Howard the Duck was a Marvel comic book in the 70's.

The cameo from Biz Markie was great though.

Couldn't wait for the movie to end - I got a reprieve when Direct TV went out

You guys do know that the Sharknado movies are intended to be bad, right?

Pretty sure it was intentional.

in all honesty, it was a mistake.  I meant to type sharknado.

Either way, the movie was horrible.  And yes I understand it was supposed to be horrible, but horrible movies can be entertaining (see the first Evil Dead movie)

The most entertaining horrible movie I have ever seen is Dhoom: 3. Please notice that on the poster, the characters are literally on fire:

Here's my full essay on reasons why Dhoom: 3 is the most entertaining bad movie ever.
