yes but at one point during the season we thought both him and Dunn were going to do better than they had done in their past seasons.

Adam Dunn did do better than he has in the past. Just because you hate him irrationally, doesn't change the facts.

it wasn't his best statistical season or otherwise.

Good, solid Adam Dunn type season although he fell off at the end.

RZ is the only one who had a true career season.

Why would it worry you that Willingham might have a solid season again next year? :stupid:

3 guys I'm NOT worried about: Hammer, Dunn, Zimm.

How can you not be worried about Willingham? He has hit <.200 over the last few months.

59-102 in 2008
59-103 in 2009

33-42 (.440) under Riggleman

26-61 (.299) under Acta

His overall numbers ain't that hot Chief. they are solid but not as good as they should have been.

We thought we had a .300, 30+ HR player in Willingham.

So, after the disastrous Desmond at-bat, I go to the bathroom to...do my business, figuring that whichever reliever Riggleman went to would be doing the same, on the mound...   :'(

Instead, I finish “my business”, leave the bathroom, turn on the television and SHOCK OF SHOCKS, the Nationals have won!

Oh ME of little faith!

I was pointing to Dunn more than Willingham because I don't agree with your original assertion anyway, but I was primarily just pointing out that you contradict yourself whenever it suits you to make your boys look better.

Not that anyone needed proof of that.

We thought we had a .300, 30+ HR player in Willingham.

I was watching our last series down in FLA and the Extra Innings pkg. had the Marlins announcers on and they were saying how popular Willingham was in the clubhouse and the front office.  Then added how they got the feeling that Josh would be back with the club someday.  I thought, fine, great.  Give us some good value and he's yours. Overpay for him.  Fine with us.
