Utley might have another injury-plagued year - he has some tendinitis issues in his knee.

Here's some info on his injury history - it looks like, similar to lots of middle infielders around that age and maybe not so unexpectedly given how hard he plays, age and injury may be catching up to him
--------
Utley, who turned 32 in December, played in 115 games last season, his fewest since becoming an everyday player. Although he said the team "hasn't even explored" the option of surgery at this point, he is no stranger to going under the knife.

Utley has had three surgeries in the last four years: his right wrist in 2007, on his right hip after the 2008 season and on his right thumb last July. Before last season, Utley had been averaging 152 games per season from 2006 to 2009.

Halfway into the season

Phillies 49-30
Braves 44-35
Nationals 40-38
Mets 39-39
Marlins 34-43

im very pleased to see the great improvement with the Nationals. ive watched Nats games since 2005 since im in the Philly/Washington markets. sad situation with the manager though. However, Davey Johnson was a great hire IMO

Meagl -check out Nick Cafardo's Boston.com article Sunday. Long discussion of your Phils strengths and weaknesses.  Lots of discussion about picking up a RHB LF. Suggestions of Cameron and Willingham.  Here's the link: http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2011/06/26/resilient_phillies_have_had_their_fill_of_problems/
