If we lose, it goes on PAN's record... if we win, I'm counting it as mine!

good luck JZ, hopefully you can give us 7 strong innings and maybe Santana will leave up a few pitches and we get lucky.

I'll quote the Chief here from the other thread:
Crazier things have happened.  Remember when Levale Speigner beat Santana in Minnesota?

I love that the 1 double plus the absurd # of singles bring Guzman's slugging to 640

See, if I were Manny I would bat Dunn 3rd tonight so he could drive in Guzman, but that would require non-roboticness.

Why?  Dunn vs Santana is a much smaller sample size, and Zimm has been pretty good against the guy too.

Ok fair enough - if you only have three guys who can hit against him, do you get them all in the same inning?

I'm surprised Dunn has had the success he has had against Santana. He's no Dukes though.

On a night like tonight, you just have to focus on how certain players react to the situation.  You have to hope that Zimmermann takes this opportunity to give the team a chance to beat a perennial Cy Young candidate.  If Zimmermann goes seven strong, allows two runs, works ahead in the count most of the night, stays down in the zone consistently, only walks a couple and still loses the game, I'd be happy with that and chalk it up to experience.

Well ladies and gents, I will be watching tonight but folding laundry while the game is on; therefore I will not be online to chat along with you.  In light of that, let me now post those things i would ordinarily have posted had I been online:

Great start, Guzman pops up the first pitch.   :?

C'mon Zmnnnnnnnnnn.

crap.  Donkey being Donkey in left.  Christ he sucks.

[sf]Nieves is pure trash.  I can't wait until Flores comes back.     :az:   [/sf]

[sf]Dunn hits a meaningless homer in the fourth.      [/sf]

ZIMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that does it.  13-33.  Ugh.  I hate my life.

this sucks. It is no fun watching a game where you have 0.0% chance to win. it's already over before it even starts. :(
