1 out for Batista is more impressive than the egg Marquis laid. Batista was put in a bad position.

He still sucked, no matter what you think of his position.

I think Charlie said that Marquis outing is the worst for a starting pitcher in Nats history.

I can't root against Davis.

Didn't he just come back from cancer?

Marquis also sucked vs. the Phillies. If you go back to the Phillies game, in his last 0.0 IP, here are his numbers:

0.0 IP
8 H
2 HBP
12 R
11 ER
1 HR
1 BB
0 K
Infinite ERA

That is bad. If you want to be generous, he did start out that inning with a Strikeout, so he 11 ER in 0.1 IP.

It's a good thing we've won the first 2 of the series, because I'd be mighty pissed right now if that wasn't the case.

Can anybody do a quick ERA for J.M. so far this year?

Yes.  Davis is recovering from thyroid cancer.

That's the first base hit Zimmerman has ever had off of Davis.

I'll bet we either get 3-hit and shut out or strand 15+ and score 3 or less.

Marquis is the first starter in Nats history to ever be pulled without recording an out.

Charlie is amazed the Brewers are holding the runner with a 10-run lead.

They're not. Maybe he was confused.

Well, once the count went to 3-2, they backed off.  Or so he said.

Looks like he came pretty close to breaking the bat over his thigh.

Good thing he didn't, probably would have injured himself
