Who is going to manage them to the 2012 WS title? I guess Boston is so superior that they don't even need a manager.

Probably John Farrell, who has messed up with Blue Jays, but apparently Boston wants him. Seems like a mutual deal. Used to be pitching coach with Sox.

...Valentine out in Boston: http://espn.go.com/boston/mlb/story/_/id/8461424/boston-red-sox-fire-manager-bobby-valentine-one-season

Had a chance to watch a lot of TV today and I heard he was in the doo-doo all day.   Can't say I'm sorry to see him go.   Glad we didn't take the dip with him.

Well, the common rumor is Farrell is first choice, but I think he is still under contract to Toronto.  Toronto wants him out, though, so there may be some chicken going on.  Tim Bogar is on staff and would be one of the in-house candidates.  Arnie Beyeler did a good job with Pawtucket and might be in the mix.  I suppose you could and DeMarlo Hale after the Os playoff run or even Terry Francona.  I doubt the latter wants back in and Hale was passed over last year without an interview.  Finally, if they want to go with someone with no organization connection, the is always Dave martinez from the rays.

You might as well hire Scott Ferrall.
