Puck Daddy states the NHL wants to realign to only 4 divisions.  That would mean some divisions with 7 teams and 2 with 8 teams.  Why don't they do it this way:

I can't believe how horrible Neuvirth is, wow. What happened to that great goaltending depth?

He and Vokoun have been mediocre at best.  I don't think that anyone expected this, though some of it surely has to be pinned on absent D (Hamrlik a bust thus far, Wideman mediocre at best, Green out).

Glad I just pulled the trigger on NHL Centre Ice...there's some good hockey being played out there somewhere.

So ya... Why did we get rid of Fleischmann again?

This team is so horrible.

Laughingstock. Time to blow it up after this season. What a shame. And people thought we had the players to compete for a decade plus...

Keep a few of the younger players and trade everyone else for young players or draft picks. This is no joke.

That's what happens when you build a team around a Russian. This isn't the KHL. Trade Ovechkin for REAL players from Canada / the USA.

Here's where Perrault scores a hat trick and gets an assist with a broken nose, like a true Ovie 2.0.

We used to be the team that would put up 5 goals a night and blow teams out. Now we are on the other side of the coin. We rarely put up more than 1-2 goals and we frequently give up a bunch. The special teams units suck for the umpteenth straight year. The goaltending is very sub par. The offense is just putrid, not enough goal scorers and the team offense as a whole is in disarray.

How can they turn it around when we get dominated every night? Our only win with new coach being a squeaker at home against the Ottawa Senators.

I'm not drawing any long-term conclusions about the Hunter experiment until January.  But no question that the team is reeling and lost, albeit a little less so than in November.

We looked great on Saturday, solid on Thursday and Tuesday. We still need work, but I'm confident we'll be OK.

Giving up 5 goals to the Panthers - not good. Too little, too late. We should be dominating these teams. I'm not impressed with this team. George McPhee freaked the goaltending situation to hell. Vokoun looking like a bust and his ex-trio of young goalies has flopped.

didnt see that one coming. ovie at least played hard. fla looked like the globetrotters at times. crap happens. the pk has been pretty good since hunter got here. dont know what happened tonight. we were much better on O tonight. i thin  the poor penalty kill and coverage in our own end are an aberration. i dont see that lasting given what we've seen the past three games

Damn..what the hell happened? I got home and caught the game from the end of the second period on. From what I watched, the Caps looked like they were dominating. What happened in the first and second periods?
