This is clearly our best chance for a win in the series with awful Jake Westbrook on the mound for the Cards. Lannan is also 1-2 with a 2.36 ERA lifetime against the Cards.

Westbrook has not gone 6 innings in any start this season. He has also given up 23 hits and 11 walks in 15.1 inning this season, good for a 2.22 WHIP. All around bad pitcher.

as mentioned earlier, the heavy stuff (thunderstorms) should be gone an in hour into original starting time ... it's just a matter of how bad the showers are.

hopefully we get this in tonight.

We are a winning baseball club. They are merely playing .500 ball. Should be a cakewalk.

Sometimes it's so hard to take you seriously.

Westbrook is an All-Star and a two time 15 game winner.

That's not "an all around bad pitcher."

Ivan Rodriguez is a guaranteed Hall of Famer.

Ivan Rodriguez is a guaranteed Hall of Famer.

Westbrook put up a 4.22 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in his first year back from Tommy John, he'll be perfectly fine.

Pudge is just old.

I'm not talking about the past, I am talking about 2011. He has been horrifically bad so far this year.

Ryan Franklin is off to a good start this year. He has been giving a lot of teams happy endings.

It is so unlike Tony LaRussa to be gifted with two scrappy players like Nick Punto and Ryan Theriot and not use them both. I bet we see Punto in CF before the series is out.

Could this be a series like the one against the Philthies? We bang up the first guy and then the other two smoke us out?

Garcia and Lohse are good pitchers, but it's a lot easier to get 4+ runs off of them than it is against Lee and Halladay. I'm more worried about their offense. I think they're top 4 in just about every offensive category.

Um, why even put Garcia and Lohse in the same breath?

Garcia is a beast, and Lohse is wildly inconsistent.
