Good inning for Mike.  Come on bats, this is Perez's last inning.  Knock him out of the game.

LOL  I love the blind, unintelligent homerism. The guy is a JOURNEYMAN catcher.
He might be a journeyman but he's head and shoulders above Lo Duca and Estrada.  Manny obviously thinks so too because he keeps starting him.

dare i suggest that nieves is the best defensive catcher in baseball? he scoops up everything behind the plate and all of his throws to second have been on the money.

Yadier Molina is FAR better. These guys wouldn't even be stealing on him.

Well, in all fairness, that's more due to his bat, but it's definitely hyperbole to call him the best defensive catcher in baseball.

Nice opposite field hit, WMP.  We need to plate this run. Can you believe we have had a lead-off runner 4 innings in a row?!!

Isn't Kelly Shoppach really good too?  Idk, maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

Nieves is definitely an accomplished defensive catcher.

like I said earlier in the thread, he's Brian Schneider, without the sentimental manlove from Nats Fans.

I think Nieves is much faster at throwing the ball than Schneider.

He does have awesome range, too, though.

I disagree on the range.  Zimmerman will get to 100 more balls this season than Wright.

Boone needs playing time.

You should say that 50 more times, too. We haven't heard you clearly enough yet.
