My reliever signed would have been in the group just below Miller and Robertson and he wouldn't have been a lefty.

Would he be injury proof?

They should have traded Sandy Leon for a unicorn.

Who? Neshek? Gregerson?

Who? Neshek? Gregerson?

Luke Gregerson 2014 WAR: 0.9 (72 innings)
Aaron Barrett 2014 WAR: 0.6 (40 innings)

Barrett was every bit as good as Gregerson last season. Given that Gregerson would not be taking over an 8th or 9th inning role, it would have been a lateral move.

The only moves we could have made to actually improve the bullpen would have been Robertson and Miller. You pick up Milller, you dump Blevins. You pick up Robertson, you're probably trading Storen or Clippard.

Storen
Clippard
Miller
Thornton
Stammen
Barrett
Roark

andrew miller is a failed SP prospect. if our bullpen really blows in a few months, i say we convert a AAA guy to an 8th inning guy. Use AJ Cole as a reliever, get him used to MLB so he can start in the rotation next year

Felipe Rivero is getting called up, per Wagner.   :woop: :woop:

Corresponding move hasn't been announced, though I suspect it will be Jordan headed back to Syracuse. Rivero's been on the 40man so there's no need to DFA anyone.

I guess Rizzo was not disuaded by his 10+ ERA.

My dream come true.  Using the roster flexibility and depth to match up with opponents.  thinking you could see Cole for the St Louis series.

But doesn't this use up options? Maybe a silly question.

1 per player per year- once you use the option, you can shuttle them back and forth with no further options being burned

Because he was in the minors for less than 20 days, this restores the option.

Because in his last full season he gave up a .150 avg and .244 OBP against lefties, including a .275 SLG.

It's almost like an extended platoon...

It would seem we're going to use April as an extended Spring Training

I thought that was evident when Dan Uggla was the Opening day 2nd baseman.

So, if Span is back next week, Taylor is sent down.  Johnson I guess is the defensive OF back up, Moore and Robinson are the primary pinch hitters from the right and left side, and Uggla / Espinosa engage in a survival of the fittest fight until Rendon is ready.

I wish den Dekker was up just as a backup CF/RF. Robinson or Moore needs to go.
