Agreed.  Why in the F do we have to go up to freaking Canada every year?  They are a boring team, not a rival, and we always suck against them.

Kind of comes w/ the territory of having to play the Orioles (AL East teams). Plus, we were the other Canadian team.

Isn't this the last year we play Toronto in innerleague play?

That doesn't explain why we play IN Toronto every year.  If we play them because of Montreal then we should have played them in Washington this year!

We are playing the O's because they are "rivals" not because they are in the AL East.  We played the AL East last year meaning that we do not get to face them again for a few years.  This year we are facing AL Central teams.

I understand why you guys don't want to play Toronto anymore. It does suck that instead of playing the Royals we have to play the Blue Jays. But for my sake, i hope we keep the Toronto series on the schedule in the future, since it's the only time i get to see the team live with the exception of when we play the Pirates.

But if we had played them at home we would've had to travel to either detroit or cleveland to balance out the schedule...

Yep, but I'm sure Manny and Jim will keep sending him out there every 5 days just because he is a rule 5 guy and we'd lose him if we sent him down.. But really, what is there to lose?? A garbage pitcher with as many earned runs as innings pitched?

Air Zimmerman, living in Buffalo, is Philly that much farther than Pittsburgh?

But we have NO chance of winning in Toronto.  And the Royals should be in the mix.

Come to think of it, we played the AL East last year and we didn't play the Devil Rays.  We never seem to play last place teams in interleague play, for some reason.

We played them at home in 2005 and swept them - they were part of the 10 game win streak in June of 05 ...

We actually played the Devil Rays at home...or we could've played the White Sox instead of toronto...

Yeah, instead of getting the craptastic royals and sox - we get the tigers and cleveland instead ... at least we get them at home ... small consolation if you ask me ...

Just a heads up everyone, Toronto has the gameday link to the high-tech pitch tracking system, so you can see where every pitch was in relation to the strike zone, the speed, the break, etc.  For example, it shows that Dmitri's last two strikes were WAY out of the zone, quite clearly.
This is very cool technology.

Impressive graphic images of the ball's movement.

Did we?

In any event, every team that finishes in last place should play a last place team in interleague play.

Yup ... it's open ... apparently last night there was "technical difficulty"
