I don't know why everyone thinks Minny is so good. Aside from their three headed monster in Mauer, Morneau, Hunter they are really lackluster. And Aside from Santana their pitching is nothing to write home about.

Stay upstairs. :)
I'll have to tell Andrew.  He's big into moonbounces right now.  Almost wouldn't get out of it at his party last Sat.

Agreed.  Man Simontacchi is pitching a gem.  I'd like to see him go at least 7.

I am!  Dan came up here and checked on me.  I told him why I'm here instead of there.  He said they're having a blast!  I love hearing them bantering and yappin and all!

You don't see guys go head first into first base much... that was hustle.

How much different can the weather be in Tampa as oppose to Miami?

Not too much different, which is why the Marlins constantly have rain delays for their midday games, and also part of the reason why they have crappy attendance despite winning two World Series over the last decade.

It's because sliding into first is stupid.  It is much quicker to run right through the bag.

Well, I think Miami gets a big sea breeze. Orlando usually feels a lot hotter than Miami, from what I understand (my BIL lives down there). A nice open, airy stadium with some sun cover for the fans might be okay... but Tampa is right in the thunderstorm belt.

They teach the running through the base in tee ball!  I never knew about it until Andrew started in it. :)

You're right: I forget these things sometimes. Maybe he was just falling down so he went with it.

I'm happy for him.  His power decline so far this year has been striking, and I'm glad that Cubs fans get to see the excitement of a Fonzie 3HR (so far!) game against the Braves.

Every National League team deserves a 3HR game against the Braves, in my opinion.

Damn.  It's storming where I am, and of course I can't get any picture with DirecTV.  The more elaborate you guys make your updates, the better for me.

No storm clouds over us, skirting us to the north and south.  So we still have our picture.  I'm so waiting for FIOS, shouldn't be much longer.  But funny part is, we never lost our picture during Isabelle!

An outing like this has got to make your arm feel great. If you're the pitcher, I mean.

Do you realize that if Guzman keeps hitting like this for the entire season, then we won't have the biggest paddle we use to whip Jim Bowden with anymore?  Everybody excoriated him for his seemingly incomprehensible contract to GUUUZ.  Hell, I did too - my avatar used to be deeply ironic, now it's a genuine friggin' tribute.  But is it possible that we're finally seeing the dood that Bowden saw when he gave him that expensive contract?
