Kearns with a RBI double.  He is killing the ball

He had a career .500 BA against Hill coming into the game.  A former Reds player, knows and owns the Cubs.
Kearns doubled to deep left, Zimmerman scored.

Nationals 2
Cubs 5

The Cubs can still lose this game... it's in their nature.

I'm totally bummed. I'm at work and have been streaming WTWP radio, but they just switched over to the Tony Kornheiser show.  Ugh.

I don't think they're supposed to have the Nats on anyway, somebody must have awaken.

How about this stat: Langerhans has as many hits this season (3) as he has teams played for (ATL, OAK, WSH).

The Lojack-sponsored steal trivia that Sutton does each game pointed out recently that Soriano got caught about 82% of the time last year, when trying to steal 3rd base for Washington.  And he's on 2nd now...

Technically, our bullpen has pitched 6 consecutive scoreless innings today (only 1 hit allowed).  JP just put us in too much of a hole to get out of.

That 3rd inning was deadly for us.

I put the blame for that on Speilener jsut as much as i put it on John. All speigner had to do was throw strikes.

Don't forget Speigner.  He didn't exactly help us.

Those walks by Speigner were devastating..  It all happened so fast but it proved to be really costly.
