Oh hell with that Bob...it's not his arm that's the problem, it's what's between his ears.

Yeah I think the fact that it isn't what was 'already an existing problem' indicates to me that it is between his ears.

I don't see many people at Wrigley consuming bottled beer.

They've determined that Cubs fans and alcohol is not a good mix.   :P

Nice swing and solid double by Church, The Other Ryan, his 12th, tied with SORIANO for 5th in MLB.  (Alfonso is hitting .320 now, no longer slumping.)  Church scores on a DP, ending the shutout...

National Disgrace 1
Cubs 5

I did over the first month when he was actually..uhh... hitting which he is paid to do.  At this point I don't even know if I want him on the bench when NJ comes back.  In the time being I think Jim has to call up either Broadway or find someone else in the organization who wants to play 1B and can hit better than .200, it's not that difficult.

It's nuts how practically all our pitchers yield an exorbitant amount of walks.

Going through this gamethread and seeing a couple of potshots and plenty of the same old crap, I sort of don't want to be here but being I have some off time at work, why not?

On the other hand, your blood pressure is likely MUCH lower if you just tuned in...

No one on our bench is batting .200 so it's not that easy either.

What do you guys think chicks are thinking when they hold up signs proposing marriage to players? Are they just being goofy, are they trying to get on TV, or could they possibly be serious?

Everyone that starts on our team is hitting better than this bum.  Zimmerman's average is slowly creeping up near .250, Kearns' is closing in on .275, Schneider is hitting a bit better as of late, Flores is now over .260, Belliard is close to .280, Lopez is consistent around .260, Church is around .290.  The only exception is Casto but he is young and probably doesn't belong up here so he gets a pass for the time being.

No, I've been keeping track on and off on Gameday.  Its been a pretty bad game.  God, hate seeing Patterson get injuried again.  Church continues to go hot and even Zimmerman seems to be waking up.  Oh yeah, as always, "F ($0)rian0.

Unfortunately we're seeing the 'same old crap' on the field too.

Hey I'd hold a sign up at a PCD concert proposing marriage to Nicole Scherzinger...and I would be completely serious.  And I'm already married.
