I think I'm in love with that change-up.

Nice to see that Manny learned from his past mistakes and is actually getting someone up in the 'pen when he should.

For RPs, they should make a stat which is ERA but includes inherited runners.

I know this wouldn't work, but I was thinking the other day that they could put the "inherited runners scored" stat under the "R" column.

freak Winn. piece of garbage hit.  Stupid Giants and their little dinky hits.  I can't wait until Winn, Durham, Molina, and Vizquel are retired and they have absolutely no offense for years and years.

I think that'll actually be beneficial to their team.

or just a flat out, inherited runner/inherited runner scored stat.

anyhow, I'm not disappointed in Clippard, and I think he deserves another start.  he threw a lot of pitches, over 100 in 5 innings. he's gotta work on locating a little bit better on the changeup

I figured out this idea with my friend a couple of weeks ago, for situations which they should charge inherited runs for:

If a guy gets a single, pitching change, next guy gives up a double it goes on the reliever. Guy gets a double, pitching change, next guy gets a run scoring single it goes on the SP. single then HR goes on the RP.... basically whoever gives up the bigger hit gets the runs... if its like two doubles then they each get half a run.

Agreed, if he gets more economical, he could be one of our best SPs.

Clippard falling apart in the 5th just like every single one of our pitchers.  Predictable.

he was over 100 pitches already.  plus Wily mo did him no favors on that last one.

any competent LFer catches that.

I, for one, like that change-up so much that I think he should stay up here and work on his command with The Saint. :D

This is the direct result of these pitchers not being allowed to throw enough innings when they were with Columbus.

Our player development is a joke.
