As I have been saying for weeks, Kris Medlen is the best pitcher in baseball.

9 IP 5 H 0 ER 1 R 0 BB 12 K today for the Braves.

Improves to 7-1 record with a 1.56 ERA.

Medlen records career-high 12 Ks and tossed his second CG. Allowed just one unearned run. Braves have won each of past 18 games he's started.

damn wow

Cano looks like he's playing hurt.  I hope they miss the playoffs.

Can't believe the Orioles are now only one back of the Yankees.  They might just be able to pull something off with all the injuries the Bombers are dealing with.  Their series in Baltimore next weekend will probably be the biggest series the Orioles have played since 1997.

Given the way things look at this point, the Braves will have to burn Medlen in the wildcard play-in game.

New York could easily be passed by both Baltimore and Tampa and miss the playoffs altogether.

The Padres re-gain the lead!

I don't want to see the Dodgers in the playoffs, no sir.

Going to Baltimore on the 6th.  Bronx South!

Ethier jacks one in the bottom of the ninth to tie it, and they're threatening to win it.

I want the O's to draft first every year, so I'd say the yankees

I'm not sure I could take the media storm. Beltway series, blergh.

But I like your swagger, Linty Fresh.

Remember all the "which team will make the playoffs first" a few years ago. It'd be ironic if both made it the same year.

I thought Baltimore was nascent baseball town just waiting for a good team - time to call mayflower
