Lenny Harris tells the players that you get a special treat if you get that third strike looking.

pathetic. Our hitters are dumb as freak. Who ever strikes out looking should be fined $500.

It almost seems like everyone but Kearns is guessing that the pitch is going to be something they can hit as opposed to reacting to the pitch thrown.

I think you've asked that of everyone on the team.

Sorry I'm new so I thought u should make them 3-4 hours in advance

I usually do, but let me handle the threads unless it's 10 minutes or so before gametime.  Either way, thanks for filling in, and welcome to the forum!

Well, they walk our leadoff hitter and we do nothing with it.  This team has gone in reverse since the 6th inning on Thursday.  It's not looking good.  30 men left on base in last 3 games.  Ouch.   RISP, but no heros.

I wish I had a dollar for every hanging breaking ball the Nats' hitters watch go by them.

Down 2-0.  This is deja vu all over again.

freaking Ankiel. He barely hits the ball yet he crushes it over the fence. The Nats hitters drill the ball but it goes 10 feet short.

Lannan will never be an ace. #3-4 starter at best.  Bill Ladson is crazy.

Curtain calls in the third inning are lame - and tempt the baseball gods.

He'll never be an ace pitching like this. He struggled from the beginning finding the strike zone.

He is NOT our ace. We don't have one. We don't even have a #2.

If anyone will ever seem like an ace it will be Detwiler but he won't be amazing. Just remmebering how bad our Front Office was. They picked Bill Bray over Billy Butler and Phil Hughes. Did we draft Bray as a starter or what?

I've been thinking: why should this offense really give a crap about getting runs and getting hits?

JimBo spent all off season building this offensive juggernaut (the key parts we can't even use due to injury currently) and like a hypocrite, kept preaching "pitching, pitching, pitching" and yet only got us Odalis Perez. These pitchers aren't going to win us games, not a lot of them anyways. So why should the hitters really spend all that energy when they know the pitcher's they are trying to support are just going to give it back to the other team?

The offense is dead currently, but even still, they wouldn't have any type of half-ass support if they were knocking the hide off the ball.
