ugh.. John Maine owns us. He is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA over 12 innings against us this year.

down again early.. Hanrahan/Redding are just disastrous.  The only games worth watching are when Hill/Bergmann/Chico pitch.

and there's another run!  Glad Manny and JB are delighted to keep putting Walkrahan out there every 5 days.  Just pointless and very disheartening.

Lannan
Chico
Balester/Detwiler/FA

btw, This pisses me off more than anything.  Why does Manny keep sending Joel out there every 5 games?? He has been doing this same crap every start for the last month.  Does Manny watch the ****ing games?

gross.. 2 straight games getting behind 3-0.  All on Manny.  Can't blame the pitchers.  They have no business starting these games but keep being sent out there anyways.

4-0! Manny is a ****ing @$$hole

It's embarrassing that Manny keeps sending these guys out to start every 5 games.  "Respecting" the game my ass!!  Talk about giving away free wins.  I'm sure the Phillies aren't pleased.

Disgusting effort by Joel, never thought I'd say this but put in Mighty Mike for the second.

Why does he expect anything else from Hanrahan.  He has not had any location on his pitches for over a  month.  It is disrespectful to Nats fans to let this guy pitch when you know it will be a disaster.  Why not look at one of the minor league guys like Balester or Perez or even Detweiler?  Right now Hanrahan is not a major league pitcher.

I should have bet my life savings on this game.. The worst starting pitcher in the Majors against a pitcher who owns the other team (Maine = Hudson VS Nationals).

I don't know why you guys keep insisting on seeing one of those guys when they have made it clear that they don't want to overload them. What part of that is so arcane that you don't get it?

I'd much rather have Bacsik starting than Hanrahan.  At least Bacsik can throw strikes most the time.  It is suicidal to continue sending him out there every 5 days.  Not only is it a guaranteed loss I'm sure it will also permanently screw up Hanrahan.  He will probably be scarred for life from all of these embarrassing outings.  Manny doesn't seem to care though..  Just yesterday Manny said "I take absolutely no satisfaction in [beating] the Mets..."

OT: Have you guys ever heard of, or had flu-like symptoms ONLY in your muscles before? I mean, my head is fine, but I feel like I worked out for like 10 straight hours yesterday...which I didn't at all.

Yes and I've had the opposite symptoms also (only the head feels like the flu). When that happens it only lasts for a day or two at most.

I don't think they're going to put Balester/Detwiler in the rotation that quickly, and I don't see them going after a free agent SP (they all suck this offseason, anyway).  That's why I went with Redding.  I'd go with him over Hanrahan.  He should be replaced by Balester within about a month, anyway.

Nice, because I can't even get up and down the stairs right now. Sucks, because usually this is a good feeling. Now I get the pain with no benefits  :?.
