7th inning: The Astros just scored 4 runs in about 3  1/2 minutes.  We haven't scored 4 runs in 3 1/2 weeks.  How did they do it?  2 singles, a double, a sac fly, etc..,  It is not a difficult formula.

This team is lifeless.

Well, that was embarassing (not converting a no-out triple).

It's amazing to think this team that we have watched collapse since July 4, is still 3 1/2 games up in the wild card race.  I just want to see them play with passion rather like a team that is 25 games out and playing out the string.

Imagine where they'll be on August 1st.... they are doing absolutely nothing to gives fans a spark of hope that they will get back on track... they just keep getting worse and worse

I think fans need to take out a full page ad in the local papers asking visiting teams for a MERCY WIN

So much for what I said earlier on MLB about us holding opponents to 5 or fewer runs during or slump :?

This is exactly what I can't understand.  Every team over 162 games hits a dry spell, and Clemens has made many teams look foolish, but these guys don't seem to be fighting anymore.  The defense has been comical, the hitting is non-existant, and if the pitching goes we are sunk.

They look like a team that is so far out of the playoff race that they just go through the motions.  We still have a shot at winning the World Series for crying out loud if we can pull ourselves together.

Maybe Armas can start a bean brawl to jump start this team before he starts feeling dizzy again.  Something dramatic needs to occur.  Talk is cheap.  SACK UP, MEN!!!!!!!!!

Why did Baerga just run back to the batter's box on his way to the dugout?  I thought we usually just run back from 3rd??

Thank you, Ryan Church, for at least breaking the shutout.  (That guy can hit, you know....)

And hey, look on the bright side: at least GUUUUUZZZ got a triple!

A TRIPLE!

I guess, but isn't it better to take the guy out while he might have a shred of confidence left.

I just checked, the Nats are the LOWEST scoring team in both leagues so far this season... The Rockies, Royals, and Devil Rays have all scored MORE RUNS than the Nats...

I'll say it again... NEVER MIND trading for a pitcher.... GET SOME BATS
