reportedly, Ronnie would start @ 3b for the Dodgers....interesting. it'd be fun to see Ronnie and Manny reunited. Ronnie is a mini Manny. guarantee Belly would hit .280+ with the Dodgers starting everyday, and would give them a big boost.

Yeah' we've paid all of our top guys well above slot and I'm sure they'd go well over the slot for him but they are not going to go crazy and give him something like $6-8 Million.

$4.5 mil is as high as I'd go. I'd still like us to sign him. I know it's easy to say that we will have another high pick next season, but wouldn't it be nice to have TWO potential #1's in our system?

say what you want, Belly is still a SOLID hitter and worthy of starting.

He's a terrible third baseman. I doubt he'd start over Blake.

Yeah, it would. I guess I'd go with $4.5. Any more would be way too much. I think Strasburg is much better (see: David Price) but having Crow too would be big.

If the Dodgers start Belly, they have no shot at the division.

I'm still hoping for Pedro Alvarez- I think its harder to find a middle of the lineup bat than a pitcher

I think I agree with that but I think SS is going to be a GREAT one. You can't pass on guys like him. We'd definitely want to take a bat with our 9B pick next year though.

That's not necessarily true. There are a bunch of hitters that have "middle of the order" potential each year. There aren't as many potential aces.

Price is an animal. He's going to be a great one. Hochevar is OK. I just think Strasburg is going to be a complete stud that'll be in the majors in no time.

neither has 1 good major league season yet, I'm sure people thought the same about Kris Benson, it just seems like most of the disasters from number 1 picks are pitchers

Watch out here. Balester + a runner on + no outs = a disaster (usually).

I HATE it that 2 runs seems so insurmountable.  >:(
