Yeah, I don't really use any of these Web 3.0/trackyoutothetypeofyourblood interwebz dealz but the one that I do use (Facebook) I can't see the people I use it for (parents, relatives) moving to G+ or even understanding it.

They would if they knew how much better it was than FB. FB is such a crappy ass service now. There's an estimated 8million people using Google+ now.

Old people that just got hip to Fecesbook and the Interwebz are going to truly get and embrace G+?  Come on son, you know that's not going to happen.

To be fair, I think all of these things suck and are a total waste of time.

Facebook became something stupid, with all the dumb games and BS.  I just want to share things with people I know, read their comments on it, and comment on the things they share.  I don't want 50 message a day of "Jane gave you a pig on Farmville!"  "Jack just planted some corn on Farmville!"  "John is level 10 on Mobsters!"

The sudden lack of a grasp on the English language that many people exhibit on it is shocking as well.  Even people I know to be intelligent would sometimes slip into a post like "OMG u shud see dis thing dat tells u you're future!" etc.

Now GET OFF MY DAMN LAWN!!!!!!!!  :old:

If Facebook's style of English really bothers you, never ever ever visit www.notracistbut.com

My real problem with all of this crap is it's causing otherwise smart people to try to figure out how to build a better mousetrap to get people click werthless crap nonstop.  When Facebook has their IPO and it's a totally insane "Sound the alarms" event better stock up on ammo and cigarettes - Irrational Exuberance™ will be officially back with a vengeance.  I don't want to be around to see that hangover.

Actually, it wont work since I don't have Verizon, but Google Talk is a very good solution. I want 4G so I can, say, tell him goodnight from a plane.

FaceTime is wifi only, and only to other apple products (I think) like Macs, iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touches.

Then again, there are the normal apps for the iPhone too like skype.

Is Skype video chat a Verzion-only thing?  I see two versions of the app on the android market.

Skype sucks though. I like Google chat a lot more. I have like 8 google windows open now on my google browser.

I'm trying out Chrome and so far it's nice. Anyone know of any apps/extensions that are good for it?
