He definitely had a play.  When he fielded the ball Thole wasn't even halfway to third - and Sludge was halfway to the third base dugout.

And beyond that, he's supposed to be "the veteran, here to teach the kids how to play the game the right way."  He just freaking gave up on the play and let a slow-ass catcher take an extra base.

Exactly.  On top of that he's the catcher and he's supposed to captain the defense.  He's a CHUMP.

I thought he was done long before he got here but this adds to the argument.
