Zimm, with too much time to think about his motion.

Just throw sidearm, Ryan. Do what God meant you to do.

On Standard Definition? It's been that way since after the All Star Break.

No, HD.  FiOS, Channel 501.

Since the ASG, huh?

Usually I don't watch on this TV.   Interesting.

Still, LaRoche never had a chance.

With a weak arm out there, yes he did.  He just put it right on the money.  Right or left at all and he's in there.  Perfect throw, and he was out.

That was a swing and a K.

Why didn't they appeal?

The SD broadcast is framed like 16:9 HD aspect. Letterboxed top and bottom.

I wonder if that TV is set incorrectly.

Dang it.  Moore to pinch hit.

Storen, Clipp to close it out?

Nope,  pinch hitter.  Davey must not like complete games.

How are we going to win in the playoffs if we never push our starters now? Our bullpen isn't that good

Davey mentioned in a presser before the game that he was going to look for ways to get Moore at bats.

Braves up 6-0 in the 4th, but it's raining.  Hope it doesn't stop tonight.

This was Detwiler's best shot for a complete game shutout.

What a demoralizing move.

The back of it is quite good, actually.  Stammen, Gonzalez, Burnett, Storen, Clippard is a pretty solid pen and would get the bulk of the work.  Mattheus and Gorzelanny aren't bad if needed.  If the starters keep giving us 6 or 7, we should be in pretty good shape.

for who? Detwiler? I'll bet he feels fine right now. Hell of a game.

I think Ross should have at least hit for himself and started the 8th, with the 'pen ready in case of trouble.  I could understand if Ross' spot came up with a couple of runners on, but in that situation there was no need to burn a bench bat.

This is not a theory I've ever heard espoused before.
