I hate to end the inning on a called 3rd strike like that

2 runs ain't great, but it's hardly a disaster - back to back jacks - and a solo jack in the 6th - Jason did a good job - all things considered ...

sorry, i exaggerated a tad.

if Lopez doesn't regain the leadoff spot before season ends, is certifiable leadoff man a off-season priority? ANd what does that mean about Lopezs future with nats?

Good question - I'm interested in what happens with Guzman too ...

Well, Lopez wasn't brought here to be the leadoff guy, so that shouldn't matter. As for Guzman, we need that money back somehow.

Didn't Dmitri look like a 1st bagger when he makes a pick like that?

If Guman can come back next season and play like he has this season, i hope he gets an extension. And whats the point of complaining about the money he's dued for in his contract. What he makes 4 million i think. Thjats hardly a huge amount compared to other teams. Thats a top 3 salary on the nats squad. When i used to talk sideways about Guz's contract, it was moreso about the length than the money. But he's made me a believer after this season. I'm actually anticipatin his return

Totally was just thinking the same thing - earlier in the year little chance he makes that pick = he's really done much better at first of late ...

good K Saul!  Come on offense, how about another run or two?

Saul's season ERA is down to 3.62
