found this at a Japanese restaurant near home this week:

I'd give it a "B" overall on taste, but an "A" because I'm a huge fan of Iron Chef Morimoto.

Musashi in Gainesville, VA - your standard run of the mill Japanese steak house run by Koreans.

Really enjoyed the Dogfish Raison d'Etre the other night from the Porch bar. Of course, this was after drinking a 60 minute, so I probably would have enjoyed Minty's elbow wash water.  :)

They had a keg of Dogfish 120 at Gilly's in Rockville a year or two ago, about a block from my office.  That stuff is very tasty but is absolutely lethal.

I think they have the Dogfish Pumpkin at our local liquor store, they have a bunch of Oktoberfest beers and other craft and foreign beers there. Totally whacked out selection for a place that sells a crapload of 40s all day.

Dogfish Ale House in Falls Church is celebrating its 4th b-day on Sunday. Maybe they'll have some punkin' then.

Do they still have that tube of hops you can get the 90 and 120 poured through?  I read that they were doing that at the one in Gaithersburg right after it opened.

I keep seeing a guy at the Park that looks like a shorter you. He even recognizes me from my mis-recognizing him as you.

okstoberfests i currently own

Sam Adams
flying dog
leinenkugels
saranac
magic hat
victory

Flying Dog. Unique and caramelly, but not too sweet. Magic hat was similar, but havent had it in a week
Saranac, Victory, Leine, pretty similar. Less sweet
Sam Adams. Good but try one of the others. I used to think it was cinnamony, but maybe the recipe has changed

Had DC Brau Fest Bier on tap the other day. Tasted pretty good. Some cinnamon. Flat. Not sure if they messed up the batch or keg or if it was operator error.

I'll try a couple of the actual German ones tomorrow

Can you tell I;ve been waiting for Fall?

Port City has an octoberfest out (I think it's their first seasonal). The more good beer I drink (flat tire's octoberfest is great), this is my new favorite,

the less I seem to like Sam

which ones?  Spatan is pretty good from what I recall, though after actually attending Oktoberfest a few years ago in Germany, it's depressing drinking Oktoberfest beer in the U.S. this time of year.
