what the f*ck is up with the announce team?

Lo Duca prepping for retirement?

(sorry, I just got home, and only saw bits and pieces of the game)

Sutton is on the 1 or 2-day DL. They needed some help. Holliday can't do it on his own. It's actually been pretty entertaining.

Sutton has laryngitis. He tried to go but couldn't make it past the 1st inning so they asked Jose Rijo and Paul LoDuca if they could fill in and have been in the booth since the 2nd inning.

Charlie Manning makes his major league debut, pitches to Bill Hall.
He grounds out...

His daughter graduated the other day so he's on the west coast spending time with his family and will join the team in SD on Tuesday or sometime next week when we're out there.

Carpenter's daughter is graduating from college this weekend; I think he has a week off including that.  Lo Duca was grabbed without notice and has been OUTSTANDING.  Making jokes at his own expense, doesn't have a bad word for anyone; you'd never think he got bad press.

Manning gets his first strike out... HE WILL TAKE US TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!

Jose Rijo has been decent also considering these guys were in the dugout watching the game and never expected to be called upon to do something they aren't trained to do.

Young safe at first on 3rd baseman Hall´s fielding error.  Milledge reached on fielder´s choice to pitcher, Young out at second.  Pena reached on fielder´s choice to third, Milledge to third on 3rd baseman Hall´s throwing error.

Sutton tried to call the first inning, but his voice was really gone.  Johnny started mimicking him so they'd sound the same...

ELIJAH DUKES strikes out again..
