WOW I can't believe they yanked their starter in the first inning.  In the middle of an AB no less!

Good call taking him out w/ a 2-0 count to the pitcher. No better time than now.

Not his day at all

Mitre knocked himself out of this one. Hopefully the reliever is like Saul Rivera that automatically throws 2 balls upon entering a game

wow... Mitre is gone ALREADY!!  WTF has happened to Mitre?? He was lights out a month ago

I told you in the "How many wins" thread that he's had about a month of bad starts.  The one before this one was 3.1 innings.  This one's 0.2 innings!

Take a couple more pitches, Tim.  Make sure the reliever can throw strikes before you start swinging!

If I were in the dugout with him I'd tell his nag ass to stop taking it out on the fan and he should've pitched better.

I think Fredi really wants to win this game.. Still crazy though considering how good Mitre was before the last month.  Mitre had a 2.81 ERA as of July 14.  Now his ERA is 4.74.

ugh, bad luck there

No worries Tim.  It's basically a whole new ballgame but with us being spotted a 3-run lead.  Can't complain about that!

I just did a quick bio check on Mitre.  I would have guessed he was foreign born but he was born in LA.

I have a feeling we're going to need a lot more than three runs to win this game.

I was thinking the same thing Bob just mentioned.  Redding has to keep throwing that pitch that he didn't get the strike 2 call on.  If he doesn't he's going to get killed.
