Good grief, Ross...

Not a well placed fastball.  Up in the wheelhouse, thankfully not Carlos Lee at the plate.

It would be less timely.

Actually it wouldn't.  Just say it after the out is recorded in the course of saying whatever drivel they spout as they go out to commercial.

That was never five minutes.

Look, I can't have an argument with you unless you pay me.

Sure it is.  Why delay?  What's so special about the end of an inning?

Wait a minute, are you another jinx fairy believer?  Now I get it.

970 hits.

109 games.

No more than 1000 innings played.

~0.97 hits per inning.

~3.88 hits per four innings.

Ok, I'm on the road to making an mlb database on my computer, I'll just stop here and say the Nats have more hits than the average team.

Yes, but that was never five minutes, just now. Oh come on!

Look, this is ridiculous.

Oh I've had enough of this.

Note - I saw Python live at the City Center in NYC many, many moons ago.   Great show.

When I played first base, sometimes I'd catch the ball in the pocket instead of the webbing.  And some guys could really throw.   It really hurt.   I'd put a kitchen sponge in the glove to cushion the blow.

Oh, there's a history there with the Nats.  2008 was epic.
