I'm going - it'll be my last afternoon Nats match of the season (missing the Padres match on the 21st due to Redskins conflict).

Okay, after slapping the Choking Tribe around for three games, it's time these guys get serious. This series will be a real test to see if this six game streak is a fluke or not.

Chipper will be in Miami. I think Redding is safe.

Well isn't that nice!  I'll fix my original post.

Lineups posted. Probably the best lineup we've had all season.

Hopefully Redding can hold the Phils to less than 3 because if he does we'll win.

I'm feeling confident today. I really like Bonifacio in the #8 hole.

Flip Milledge with Dukes and drop Belliard for a 1B power hitter and I wouldn't mind seeing this lineup for an extended period.

I think AZ wants Dukes in the 2 hole.

I don't think they will be a available until tomorrow but that may be because of travel.

Bowden just said that our '08 draft may be the best draft we have had since the team came to D.C.

He may be right. Hood, Ramirez, Nieto, Hicks, Demny, Espinosa, Jones, etc. That's impressive.

That's all on Rizzo. The only things Bowden is responsible for are the bad moves that backfire.    :icon_mrgreen:

And now that some of the players are gone Acta is a close second. Bowden just needs to stop demoting people's favorite players.

Dmitri is about to start a rehab stint for Vermont. Marcus Jones said he ate dinner with him last night.

That's a step in the right direction. He owes it to us to get his ass back on the field, at least by 2009. I think he can still be a solid bat off the bench for us.

I actually think we could use a great all around bat and another power hitter to play LF and 1B and the lineup would be set. Of course with our history they'll never stay healthy. Then we need to fix the bullpen and straighten out our rotation and we're set. It's not that hard.

If it were up to me, the only guys in our rotation right now that should be in the rotation next year are Lannan and Balester.  :)

I'm sure he sprung for the meal but I wonder how many drinks he also sprung for and consumed.  :?
