Agreed and I don't see this production continuing too much longer.  Although, there does seem to be distinctive difference in the demeanor of the club, for whatever reason.  That, more than anything, will help them finish off the season pretty strong.... I think/hope.

What's our record since Dukes came back? Even though I know we can't give too much credit to one player, I know we've done well since his return. It's a team effort on the overall. I have no doubt that Eckstein has at least a little to do w/ it, but even our pitching has been solid throughout the winning streak (not counting Bergmann's last outing).

I love my Redskins and my Terps, but I don't lose interest in any degree for the Nats.  The Nationals and Terps basketball are my two favorite teams.  Sure this has been the roughest year, they are playing better right now and with a few callups and key pieces staying healthy and producing ... it'll be fun to see what we have to look forward to.  And I still go to games.  I'll go anytime of the year no matter how good or bad they are.

It's not picking favorites, it's having a feel for how good pitchers are or aren't. Maybe I'm wrong. who knows.

After 29 outings w/ those numbers, I think it's about time you question those "feelings."

(HE'S DONE IT AT THE MLB LEVEL.)

Colome with a 4-run lead? I don't get why they are giving that bum responsibility all of a sudden. I'd rather see Levale or Hinckley or hell put in Joel.

Haha I like Bob's comment:  "a lot of Phillies fans in the yard, we want to thank them for spending their hard earned money in our ballpark"

Shhh...Colome hasn't walked a batter in his last 4 outings. ()

The Caps' season starts in like 5 weeks. Can't wait. Out of all local sports teams, that's the team I'm most excited for this season.

dude, you pick favorites.  you have your sacred cows(Flores), and then everyone else is only as good as the last pitch.

If we could get enough Nats fans to an opposing team's ballpark, we'd do the same thing (I hope).

I hope this BS nonsense that Colome has pitched well over the 2nd half doesn't buy him a new contract for next season.

When does this become a save situation?

HAHAHAHA.  man that made me laugh.  So many people are on the "dislike the lerners as owners" train.  I feel partly responsible, and I'll glady take the credit!

Now.

Actually the phillies needed one more base runner. The potential tying run has to be on deck for it to become a save situation.

I hope this BS nonsense that Colome has pitched well over the 2nd half doesn't buy him a new contract for next season.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

It was a 3 run lead. That's a save situation.

Is this really only the second 7+ game winning streak in Nationals' history?

There were 2 outs. A 3 run lead is only a save situation with fewer than 3 outs to get when there's a runner on base that forces the tying run to the on deck circle.
