Yeah, I wouldn't include that part in my argument.  For me, it is more his unwillingness to just trust his pitches and challenge the hitters to make the play.  The intentional walks irk me a bit as well, as a pitcher you have to have confidence that you can get out any batter in the line-up (save a damaging power hitter).

Are the intentional walks his call, though? Or is it one of the coaches that lack the confidence?

Bad pitch selection. Should have thrown a change/slider/curve there.

Please limit the damage, Tim! Don't pull a TVR.

I thought that Manny highlighted after the games in two instances that it was Redding's personal decision to walk the batters.  Plus I don't see it happening with other pitchers on our staff.

That was a strike. Bad ump.

Redding is pulling a Redding. See, this is what I'm talking about. Redding is running smooth, he gives up one infield single and then he loses his composure and just rolls over.

It blows going from a possible no hitter to not even going 6 innings.

Cut that **** out dude. You act like Zimmerman has actually lived up to the hype. Where the **** were you and all this talk when he was stinking up Nationals' Park?

Unlike people who are on players' balls around here and refuse to accept reality, I'll call it like I see it with our players.

Haha I was always here man and I always stuck up for him.  It takes time for players to get back to 100 percent.  He was sidelined for a long time, is now back healthy and is kicking butt.  Is he an elite player, no, I still agree with you on that.

But he is one of few key pieces to build a franchise around.  Some on here think he's overrated, some think he's God's gift.  He's neither, but he's proving to be a stud for us just like he has done in past years.

Redding did his job for today in my mind.  I would have liked for him to finish off the sixth strong, but five solid innings plus will get her done today.

Is it just me . . . I really want to get a look @ Mike Hinckley.  I've seen him twice this season and he's looked decent.

Well that's just weird. I've never seen a pitcher make those decisions. If that's true, maybe he's just more comfortable with certain players on base. It's not like he has the stuff to get any hitter out. He definitely doesn't.

Yeah, but a guy that is 8th in the lineup, batting .220 for the season, to load the bases? (LAA June 25th)

OK now I remember you in that debate. I take my comment back. But I don't give a crap about injuries. If a player is hurt he should be out of the lineup until he's 100%. I don't buy excuses.

damnit. I hate when stupid freaks like Burrell get rewarded for just standing there. The ump bailed him out.

Perfect time for the ump to start shrinking the strike zone!

unbelievable. What a meltdown. And it was all made possible because Tim Vindication Redding pissed his pants with 2 outs.
