help on follow the prospects upkeep
« Topic Start: April 10, 2014, 10:33:09 AM »
It's been a while since I've paid attention to the overall list of FTP threads.  The list probably includes active threads for guys no longer in the Nats system and graduates to the majors, while missing some current prospects not named Giolito or Cole.

Can folks do a couple of things:

1) go to the master thread and identify guys who should be locked (no longer in the system or graduated to the majors) and post here the names;

2) identify here who should be added;

3) if you originated a thread or have taken one over, post the player's 2014 minor league assignment.  If the thread does not contain last year's final stats, adding that would be good.

Finally, a quick google of the player's name and links and quotes from articles would be really nice.  A prospect rating from Sickles, FG, MLB, BA, BP would add something too.

Thanks.  I will hope to work on this a bit next week.

My wife and I are going to the P-Nats game tomorrow.

None of their roster players rang a bell with me.

Anyone in particular that may have promise?

I think Komatsu is still around.  I think we was just assigned to Syracuse between Souza getting called up and Kobernus getting hurt.

I think Komatsu hit a home run for Syracuse recently (Sunday or Monday?)

Anyone want to do an Estarlin Martinez thread?

I'll try. Saw him at Hagerstown past weekend and he is a man among boys for sure. Worth watching.  Just that I'm not sure of the technical thread things.

M. Hit - Don't need the pictures or gifs.  Someone can find them and add them if we have a thread.

Really need just the vitals (name, DOB, draft or signing date, maybe residence home town, position, lefty rights bats / throws), club and level, and maybe a few other details. For guys in the system, their 2013 stats and 2014 too.   If you can come across a prospect rating (Sickels, Hulet, Mayo, BP, BA), great, add that.  Also any awards would be nice.   Biggest other thing would be a link to the player's minor league stat page on MiLB.com, or Baseball-Reference.

Finally, if you google the prospect and find an interesting article, a link and a quote would be nice, too.
