Nix's best case is a 4th OF who can only play against righties. I'd see high on him this year.
marrero now 3-for-3, walk, rbi ... average up to .304.i'm watching the game, all legit hits.
Okay so apparently prospects read these. So this kind of made me think differently now when I see a 'guest' viewing these.
Right. When posting stuff about a player, I try to think if what I am posting is fair enough that I would be willing to say it to his face. You don't have to resort to the "player x is GARBAGE" types of posts to make your point.
Interesting point of view. I try to do that also but usually just get too pissed.
Marrero is 2-4, 2 RBI, HR. Stairs is 0-1, K, strands 2 men.
I don't think they'll bring him up until he's going to play every day. He'll be here in September.
http://www.masnsports.com/byron_kerr/2011/07/marreros-steady-progress-at-first-base-paying-dividends-in-syracuse.html--------Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs rained out Monday so this is a good opportunity to take a pause and check out first baseman Chris Marrero as he continues to swing a hot bat.Marrero is batting .305 through 91 games, with 20 doubles, nine homers and 49 RBI. He has hit 44 homers in the last two and a half seasons and increased his average from .284 in 2009, to .294 and now at .305...--------
First base is the only position he's played. Move Morse back to left and go from there.
Is there a reason we can't put Marrero in LF? He played in highschool.Either way. He's hitting .300/.376/.435 Call him up. Play him at first and Morse in LF
you ever see him play at Potomac, he's a big tall lumbering guy, not much speed.
