Why do amphetamines net a lesser suspension than other PEDs?
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines.

Cinci re-signed Broxton to be their closer. Chapman headed to the rotation. Countdown to elbow blowout begins now.

Imagine if you had Aroldis Chapman as your go to guy from the 7th inning on.

broxton resigned on a 3 year/$21mm deal.  reliever prices are crazy now.  Broxton, affeldt, and league all got 3 years.

Closers have gotten the big money in recent years.  Affeldt's deal was the big surprise.

Burnett is probably as good as gone.  Gorzelanny will make millions to be a long relief pitcher.  Gonzalez will probably get a 2 year deal.  It's a good time to be a lefty reliever.

Russell Martin is probably going to end up getting eight million a year for three years. How? He sucked last season.

Compare his stats to B.J. Upton's. OBP. 311 to. 298 ISO. 192 to. 208, considering Martin's position $8M appears right in line with other free agents

Angels and Braves swap Walden and Hanson. Interesting. If Hanson gets healthy, that could be quite a deal for the Angels.

Yeah, Hanson sucked last year but they really sold low on him.

Makes their bullpen even better. If they get to the seventh inning ahead they're pretty much going to win every game.

Cubs sign "Japanese Mariano Rivera" Kyuji Fujikawa for 2 years/9.2 Million
Quote
Over the past six seasons with the Hanshin Tigers, the 32-year-old record 202 saves while posting a 1.36 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 12.4 K/9, and 2.3 BB/9 in 369 2/3 innings.
I understand that everyone wants good relievers, but as a 32-year-old. Why sign with the Cubs? It's not like they'll be contending in the next couple of years. I guess he really wanted to close.

Bowden points out it may lead to a Marmol trade. Maybe the Angels revisit their failed deal.

Here's a video on him. Very Strasburg-esque finish. Seems more violent coming out of a smaller guy.
