I'm looking to see how just about everyone does vs. someone that's not the Phillies.

yeah, because Braun and Fielder are such a night off. :-)

per NJ:
Quote
Ryan Zimmerman, despite yesterday's pinch-hit home run, remains out of the Nationals lineup. Also, Ivan Rodriguez gets a day off. (The Nationals, for what it's worth, are 2-0 when Wil Nieves starts this year.)

Nationals

2. Willie Harris, RF
3. Cristian Guzman, 2B
4. Adam Dunn, 1B
5. Josh Willingham, LF
6. Ian Desmond, SS
7. Adam Kennedy, 3B
8. Wil Nieves, C
9. John Lannan, SP

Brewers
1. Rickie Weeks, 2B
2. Corey Hart, RF
3. Ryan Braun, LF
4. Prince Fielder, 1B
5. Casey McGehee, 3B
6. Carlos Gomez, CF
7. Gregg Zaun, C
8. Alcides Escobar, SS
9. Yovani Gallardo, SP

Guess I won't be worrying about that Lady Gaga thing.

Didn't look like it to me, but it's one thing to run a little bit to first and then jog the rest once, than it its to take 4 AB's and play 9 innings of defense.  In his post game interview with Debbie, he kinda made it sound like he might miss another game or two.

side to side can be a major problem with a hammy

"So Ryan, what does a pulled hammy feel like?"

I'm waiting for DT to ask Dunn if he were a tree, what kind would he be?

No, it was, "Can we expect to see you back in the lineup tomorrow vs. Milwaukee?" or something to that effect.

Zim responded with: "Well, we'll see, it's getting close."

Remind me again what part of Willie's .412 OBP and .500 SLG v. RHP you don't like this year?  OK, small sample size.  Maybe it's what he's done vs. RHP the last 3 years?
2009 - .248 / .365 / .414
2008 - .255 / .351 / .404
2007 - .283 / .358 / .418

I'm thinking dissing Willie v. RHP is my bat signal.

I thought it kind of looked like it, but that could have just been me being pessimistic about him ever coming back and playing another game in his life.

I'm speaking about Desmond who has done better in the 2-hole than he has anywhere else in the line-up this season.

I'd rather have others batting in that spot until they prove they can't.  Desmond is still struggling with hitting breaking balls, part of the reason he has had so much more success in the #2 spot.  Sure, it would be nice to have him hit #2 all season and possibly do better because of it, but I would rather have him take his lumps now and learn how to hit the breaking balls in game situations instead of him becoming the next Elijah Dukes at the plate.  Once teams start getting a full scouting report on him, he is going to start seeing a heavy dose of breakers.

Zimmerman will be fine.  I think he'll be back tomorrow or Sunday.

Zuckerman had this to say in his Nats Insider write-up yesterday:

Quote
"It's nice to actually get in and be a part of something," said Zimmerman, who had been out of the lineup four straight games with a tight left hamstring. "It's not fun to sit there and watch your teammates go out there and battle and go through a couple tough games and not be able to contribute. To be able to go out there and get a big hit, it was fun."

And how did that leg feel trotting around the bases?

"I could have ran 100 mph right there," Zimmerman said.

I'm gonna say right now that we are toast. I'll listen to the radio while I BBQ.
You mean you will listen on the radio tonight while we are being BBQ'd. LOL!

I personally think we are going to win. Lannan's going to pitch lights out tonight!
