Then why not just go to the Knicks, if its all about the city?

Riley put in place a great coach, great staff, a winning culture and drafted Wade + role players. The reason the big three are in Miami is not just the city (which, admittedly, has much to do with it) but because they trust in Mickey Arison and Pat Riley WAY more than in James Dolan, Donald Sterling, or any other similar front office guy/owner.

Lets not kid ourselves: DC is a great city, one of the best the country has to offer; I really don't think that factors into the Wizards bad circumstance. Hell, Philadelphia is a top 5 market but can't do much because they overpay for middling players (Thaddeous Young, for example.)

Clear cap, draft well, find a star.
