If we had average pitching, we'd be in last place.  If we had average offense, we'd be the best team in baseball.

For all of you keeping score at home, that's 7 runs in the last 4 games, or 1.75 runs/game. Pathetic.

Where's Linty to parrot Espinosa's "great" numbers?

This team is really disgusting. Bad luck on Bernadina's swing but this game should not have come down to the 9th. Gotta score more than 2 runs vs Francis and the other crap they trotted out there.

Don't worry.  Rick's working on his binders and charts for tomorrow's game.

Rizzo needs to let Steve McCatty take Rick Eckstein out to the parking lot and let him do his worst.

Nats lose, 4-2. Strasburg's six-start win streak snapped. Nats have 25 runs over the past 10 games.

Averaging a solid 2.5 runs a game over last 10. Awesome.

Don't demand miracles. Our offense was "above average" tonight by your own definition. Rizzo must be proud.

It feels like 2005 all over again. Just a month earlier.

Well, tomorrow we get to be owned by Freiderich who has lost his last 3 starts and has a 1.61 WHIP and .306 BA against on the season.

For the 37th time in 71 games, the #Nationals scored three runs or less.

More than half of the games, 3 runs or less. Unspeakable.

We'll probably score 1 run on 3 hits against him.  If we're lucky.

3-7 over that stretch. The pitching needs to be made more accountable.  :stir:

Strasburg doesn't need excuses for tonight, he pitched very well and doubled in a run.  How about the rest of the lineup?

The only thing keeping this horrible 3-7 stretch from being a total devastation is the fact that the NL East keeps losing games much like us. Division lead remains 3.5 games, over both Atlanta and the Mets. Marlins and Phillies both 8 games back.

I had forgotten that he had driven in one run. That makes this offensive output even more pathetic.

And the other run was on Zimm's fluke hit.  If it didn't hit the bag and bounce, Helton probably had it.

That means if we had been playing in an AL park it would've been only one run.  :lmao:
