Why is it whenever a player is aggressive (Hamels & Bryce; Holiday and Scutaro) its referred to as "old scoop"

Wish we had a horse like Verlander that wanted to finish what he started.

What a stud.

1.  There is probably no other one like Verlander right now.

2.  We have guys that have the potential to be like that one day.

3.  We have lots of guys who want to finish their games, they just aren't capable of.

4.  Probably shouldn't have come out in the ninth.

5.  Teams should request I not cheer for them to hold on to 2 run ninth inning leads, because I am not doing them any good.

"Guys"!?  Uh, we have one guy, and that's Strasburg, and he's at least 2 years away from developing that kind of stamina.

Verlander is amazing. That was actually not a good game from him, yet he managed to get through 8 innings in the playoffs.

Verlander is only signed through 2014 ($20MM each year left).  Get ready to bid for the Richmond / ODU boy.

I hate rain delays.  :bang:  Cardinals lead 3-1 in the bottom of the 7th.

the rain out makes it even tougher for the NYY.  They can't start CC in both game 4 and game 7 on 3 days rest unless there is another rainout after tonight.

There isn't a need to start Sabathia in game 7.

Yet.  But if there is, they have to use Hughes rather than Sabathia.

I think people are over thinking the situation. If the Yankees lose it'll be because they went down 0-3 in the series, not because Sabathia couldn't pitch game 7.

Rodriguez and Granderson benched for today's game. They're done with Rodriguez.

Eric Chavez is 0-14 with 6K's this post season. No walks no nothing, It appears as if the Yankees are purposely trying to humiliate Rodriguez.

I agree. They will probably unload him in the offseason. Rodriguez will have a nice comeback season. Then he'll get popped for PED's again.

That whole team is a mess offensively right now. They seemed to have checked out on the season.
