Clemens has continued his dominance, even at the age of 42. Fresh off his seventh Cy Young Award, he has held opposing batters to an average of .189 this season.
Right-hander Ryan Drese will start for the Nationals after surrendering five runs in three innings on Sunday in a loss at Milwaukee. Since being acquired from Texas on June 10, Drese has had some dominant outings and others that have been less so. In six starts he has lasted seven innings or more three times, and just three innings twice.
