Oscar Villarreal, RHP (8-1, 4.48.)..... VS ..... Jason Bergmann, RHP (0-0, 7.62)

Villareal will be making his first start as a Brave after running out to an 8-1 record as a reliever, including a 7-0 start, the best by an Atlanta pitcher since Mike Remlinger started the 2002 season with seven straight wins. Villareal is 0-0 against Washington in three appearances in 2006 with a 3.38 ERA in 2 2/3 innings pitched.

Bergmann will face the Braves for the sixth time in his career. He is 1-0 with a 2.35 ERA against them. Last Saturday, Bergmann made his first Major League start of the season for the Nationals and he lasted five innings and gave up three runs on four hits against the Mets. His only bad inning occurred in the third inning in which he allowed three runs.
