Dude has two choices:
1) Admit he lied for the attention and get labeled as a disturbed nutcase.
2) Come out of the closet and admit he's gay and he created this whole story to cover for his sexuality.
No matter what he does, nobody (with any sense) is going to draft him on the first day and if this story gets worse (which it will) he might not get drafted at all. That said, I could see the Bungles taking him in the first round.
