Awesome!  I was thinking to myself "what is the low point in this team's history?". To me it is the time about 3-4 years ago when I heard a discussion on the radio of converting Kearns to a pitcher because he had a better arm than any of the staff and hit like a pitcher.

Ouch.

For me one of the low points was the final Saturday Evening game at RFK in '07 vs. the Phreakin' Phillies. I went to that game with my brother since it would be the last time we could see baseball at RFK. We were in one of the 400? sections IFRcorrectly. There were a bunch of Phillies Phans around us and across the stadium there were a bunch more of those fans whooping and hollering like nobodyelses business. It made me sick.

I returned for Sunday's game as well and enjoyed that much more, even though I was in the section that was "underneath" homeplate. Yeah the far section behind homeplate you needed video monitors to see the game. Section Sub-Zero?

I figured as much on Lombo. If he hasn't played OF yet, they don't trust him to play there and he'll never get the chance, unless there's another injury.

he seems effectively pigeon holed as a utility player which is funny since he probably has a bat equal to or better than either starting middle infielder

Hmm, Verizon installing my FiOS now, might be a little late to the game thread.

I'm willing to bet he's more suited for lead-off than anyone on our roster.  It's just pure stubbornness.

If it's anything like my installation, you'll miss the whole game.

Well if Desmond plays apparently he doesn't have the psyche to hit anywhere but leadoff and pouts if he hits 8th.

Of course he also said he doesn't care about OBP... So he says and does a lot of things that don't make sense.

Does PC call "game" and "WORST LOSS EVER" in every GDT?

I think he means are there actually quotes on record.  I could be mistaken but I don't believe there are.

I have a horrible memory with crap like this. I can't remember anything about Desmond doing this specifically but I remember that several players have.

I have no sympathy for players pouting about where they bat, though.

So I wasn't able to watch last night, all I know is zimm hit a bomb but we were dominated.  Can anyone tell me what the hell happened?

Getting that vibe.

I hope for your sake you don't get the incompetent freaknuts I had.  It took them the better part of five hours to realize that they couldn't hook up my apartment to the main port/box/whatever in my building, rather than surmising that after about ten minutes.  I was about to switch to Comcrap on the spot once they admitted they'd have to come back the next morning.

No direct quotes, but people have said he's "uncomfortable" batting 8th in the lineup.

Do you think anyone here wants to relive that mess?

Anyone know the channel for DirectTV?  I'm about to roll up to the bar and they always ask me what channel it is.
