I remember Dukes struck out way to many times during spring training which made Manny give Kearns the job, than he got the regular CF job and got injured but after he came back he had a lot of playing time and didn't prove anything.
Dukes was getting inconsistent playing. I believe if he was playing everyday from the beginning of the season, he would have had a decent season.
