Stick a fork in them  (the Mets), they're done.

Phillies?  Long finished.

Marlins?  Fire sale time.

Only the Braves linger around.
Yup, it's a 2 team race.

For pennant-pace comparison: the 1925 team won 57th game on July 20, beating the Indians 9 - 1: 9 runs, 12 hits, 1 E, for Stan Covaleski. Losing player manager, Tris Speaker, went 2-for3 to lift his BA to .402. The Griffmen were 59 - 31.

The 2012 team looks on track.

7-6 Phillies...
wow, the Brewers gave up 6 runs in the 8th tonight and 4 runs in the 9th last night. I bet Greinke can't wait to get the hell out of there. Make a move while we are there this weekend, Mike!!

I'm home with Bronchitis.   Ill be watching tomorrow!

I suppose I could call in sick.     ;)

PS: I have never done that in my life.  I sort of tried that once for the Jets Super Bowl game (I had to work at a very young age) and my father made me go to work.   He had a very strong work ethic.

Through 96 games, these Nats have only two wins fewer than '08 Nats through 161. 65 game difference overall, two wins. Wow.

Actually 2009 also

No work until >2 days on antibiotics.  Got a note from the doc.  You don't want Bronchitis.   I cant scream at the Tv w/o having a cough attack!  Thus easier to type on here.

Phillies winning?!  They were behind 6-3!  I hope Brew crew sucked this bad when we hit town!

Phillies win 7-6.  The Brewers are terrible.  They should sell everything.

Wonder what they'll get for Greinke. They don't have anything else worth selling (Braun isn't going anywhere).

The bad thing I see with the Phillies hitting a winning streak is a re-ignited douchey fan base that keeps saying "WORLD SERIES HERE WE COME!".

I was really hoping to see them get crushed all season.

Yes, like I said last week, I still believe the #Phillies can make the playoffs. Need to look no further back than a year ago with #STLCards

No way in hell, though it would be nice if teams would stop giving them free victories

They trailed 6-1 going into the 8th tonight and trailed 6-3 going into the 9th last night. Too bad the Brewers' bullpen is one of the worst in history.

Hopefully they can keep playing well this weekend and beat up on the Braves and then we get to put the Phillies back in their place next week in DC.

As long as the Nats keep winning, I'd rather see the Braves sweep the Philth.  Put them in the corner now so they sell and I don't have to listen to all the Jackarses say "Natinals are going down!" and "lolnats here comes the real team!" because I have to deal with it.  Granted there are always good fans in every organization, but Philly just has an outpouring of douchecrackers that make me want to vomit.

I was once heckled by a 12 year old who was a fourth my size easy at S**tizens Bank Park.  Bury them now please.

I hope the Phils win enough that they don't sell their team... then go on a nose dive after the deadline and then lose Victorino and Hamels for only draft picks in the off-season.

Well they are either going to sign Hamels or trade him, there is no middle ground there.  I know they will get a haul for him, but I hate seeing the Nats have to hit against him, so send him to LA or Detroit or NYY or anywhere other than in the NL East.
